Seminole pumpkin is a type of heirloom squash that is well-suited to Florida's hot and humid summers, and it was widely consumed and grown by the Miccosukee, Creek, and other tribes indigenous to Florida. They have a sweet, orange flesh that's similar to butternut squash, but firmer and less fibrous than a jack-o'-lantern pumpkin.
